Cemetery and Funeral Bureau

State program takes complaints about removal, transportation and burial preparation; inspects mortuaries for sanitary conditions; approves embalming schools, colleges and funeral establishments for training embalmers, and oversees prepayment plans offered by funeral directors.  It also regulates cemeteries, crematories, cemetery brokers, salespeople and cremated remains disposers.  The state division’s responsibility includes contract problems, upkeep of cemetery grounds, burial problems, gravemarker problems and trust fund questions.
